Did you ever get migraines? Just like the lyrics. How does it feel? Are you tired of it? Well, If you want to prevent your problem here, you're in the right place! Read my blog and learn from it.

In addition to the best medication to treat or prevent your migraine attacks, you can do various things to prevent or at least ease the management of migraine attacks when they do occur.
  • First, Avoid factors that may cause an attack whenever possible. Like hunger, dehydration and stressing yourself, you're a human you need to take a break. Don't abuse yourself.
  • Second, Get adequate sleep every night and practice relaxation techniques. Both too much and too little sleep can be implicated in a migraine starting. Some people find that sleepless nights, a number of late nights and being over tired can trigger a migraine. Other people find that sleeping in or dozing in the mornings has the same effect.
  • Third, Eat a well-balanced diet, and do not skip meals. Many people will crave sweet food such as chocolate before the pain of the migraine is experienced which leads them to conclude that eating sweet food is a cause. However, sometimes the craving for particular food is a symptom of the beginning of the migraine.
  • Fourth, Establish a routine exercise regimen if possible. Like sleep, exercise can both help to prevent migraine and conversely can be a trigger factor for some people. Regular exercise which is built up gently can help to prevent migraine. It also stimulates the body to release its own natural painkillers, as well as increasing the individual’s sense of well-being and general health. Sudden vigorous exercise, particularly for people who do not usually take exercise, can be a trigger factor.
  • Fifth, Keep a migraine diary, and discuss the frequency and severity of attacks with your doctor.
  • Lastly, If a migraine attack occurs, relax in the dark, quiet room-noise and light may worsen a migraine. Apply an ice pack to the head or temples to reduce pain if possible.
Did you know? , The widespread belief that chocolate should be avoided by migraine patients lack scientific evidence. Chocolate is more likely to be a dietary symptom of a migraine attack rather than dietary cause.
